Pastor

Father Dustin Vu was born in South Vietnam.  He and his parents moved to the U.S. in 1990.  Fr. Vu went to Ames High School, then Iowa State, and later transferred & graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Civil Engineering.  After some time of working & discerning, Fr. Vu answered God's call to become a priest.  He studied philosophy at Loras College & did his theological training at the St. Paul Seminary in Minnesota.  Fr. Vu was ordained a priest on June 26, 2004.  Previous to this assignment, he was Associate Pastor at St. Pius X Parish (Cedar Rapids) and Resurrection Parish (Dubuque).  Fr. Vu is a big Cyclones and Vikings fan.

Ann became pastoral associate at John XXIII on July 1, 2005, working primarily in the areas of liturgy, home and hospital visitation, and adult education. Ann and her husband Art live near Amana on the Petrzelka family farm. They have four children: Joseph, Sarah, Thomas, and John. After spending ten years as a full-time homemaker, Ann returned to work part-time in 2004 as Pastoral Associate of St. Patrick Parish in Fairfax.  Ann earned her Masters degree in ministry at Loras College in Dubuque in December 2006.
